Under this notification issued by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), 5208 Probationary Officer (PO) posts are being recruited. IBPS PO 2025: These changes have been made in the preliminary exam
This time, the marks distribution of subjects has been changed in the pattern of the preliminary exam:
Quantitative Aptitude (Mathematical Ability) marks reduced from 35 to 30 have been given.
At the same time, the marks of Reasoning Ability have been increased from 30 to 40.
However, there has been no change in the total duration and number of questions of the preliminary examination.
What has changed in the main exam?
Some major changes have also been made in the pattern of the main exam:
Reasoning and Computer Aptitude questions have been reduced from 45 to 40, and the time has been reduced from 60 minutes to 50 minutes.
The General/Economy/Banking Awareness subject will now be of 50 marks in 35 questions, whereas earlier it was asked in 35 minutes, now it has to be completed in 25 minutes.
Data Analysis and Interpretation will now be worth 50 marks, which was 60 marks last year.
The total number of objective-type questions in the main exam has now been reduced from 155 to 145, and the total exam duration has also been reduced from 180 minutes to 160 minutes.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India. The candidate must have a valid mark sheet/certificate on the date of registration.
Age Limit: The age of the applicant should be between 20 and 30 years as on 1st July 2025. This means that the candidate should not have been born before 2nd July 1995 or after 1st July 2005. Also, the upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates.
Application Fee
General, OBC, and EWS category candidates applying for IBPS PO Recruitment 2025 will have to pay a fee of ₹850. At the same time, the application fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Divyang (PWD), and female candidates of all categories has been fixed at ₹ 175.

Visit the official website of IBPS ibps.in
On the home page, click on 'IBPS PO 2025 Advertisement'.
Register by clicking on the 'New Registration' tab.
Fill in the required details and click on submit.
The registration ID and password will be generated
Upload scanned photograph and signature.
Provide required details like personal details, educational qualification, computer certification course, preferences of banks etc.
Upload left thumb impression and handwritten declaration.
Now pay the application fee and click on submit.
