RSSB VDO Recruitment 2025: The application process for Village Development Officer (VDO) Recruitment 2025 in Rajasthan is going on. Candidates can apply online for this by visiting the official website rssb.rajasthan.gov.in till 25 July 2025.

The candidates selected by the board for the post of Village Development Officer are given a fixed monthly salary during the initial appointment. Initial Pay Scale and Pay Scale
The salary has been fixed by the state government in Pay Matrix Level-6 in accordance with the Seventh Pay Commission for the post of Village Development Officer (VDO). At this level, the salary starts from Rs 35,400 and goes up to Rs 1,12,400. However, the selected candidates do not get the benefit of this pay scale directly in the beginning, but they get its benefit only after completing the probation period.

Provision of fixed salary

As per the rules, all the selected candidates are appointed under a probation period of two years. During this period, instead of the pay scale, only the fixed remuneration fixed by the state government is provided. This amount is usually between Rs 18,000 and Rs 23,700. During this time, they are not given any kind of additional allowance (DA, HRA, etc.).

Appointment process after selection process

After the completion of the selection process, the list of selected candidates is sent to the Rajasthan Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. From there, the district-wise merit list is prepared and the candidates are appointed as Probationer Trainee. This process is conducted as per the guidelines set at the departmental level.

Conditions and benefits of permanent appointment
During the probation period, it is necessary to pass training, assessment, and examination. On successful permanent appointment, the candidate gets the benefits of pay scale, DA, HRA, medical facility, and other government allowances. Apart from this, promotion and annual increment are also given as per the prescribed rules.
