Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Sitamarhi on Saturday, highlighting the achievements of his government and criticising the opposition ahead of Bihar’s elections.

Speaking to the crowd, Modi said, “In the first phase of the elections, the people of Bihar, who suffered under the ‘Jungle Raj’, gave a 65-volt jhatka. The people of Bihar do not want a ‘ katta sarkar’. They are giving sleepless nights to opposition leaders.”

Recalling the Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Prime Minister said, “I am here on the land of Maa Sita. Memories of five to six years ago are still vivid. On 8 November 2019, I prayed that, with Maa Sita’s blessings, the judgment should favour Ram Lalla. Can a prayer made in her name ever fail? The Supreme Court ruled in favour of Ram Lalla.”

Modi also took aim at RJD leaders, saying, “While we are providing students with computers, footballs, and hockey sticks, the RJD talks about giving ‘katta’ to people. They ask children to say they want to become ‘rangdaar’. Bihar will never accept this. ‘Jungle Raj’ meant katta, cruelty, corruption, and enmity.”

He added, “These people want to make their children CM, ministers, MPs, and MLAs, but for your children, they want to make ‘rangdaar’.”

Highlighting his government’s focus on development, Modi said, “I am working to make India the factory of the world. This is possible only if Bihar’s agriculture sector supports us. I am the brand ambassador of your labour, capability, and art. I recently gifted a Madhubani painting to Argentina’s vice president to showcase Bihar’s talent.”

Addressing the youth, Modi said, “There might not be space for you in the pandal, but you always have a place in my heart.”
