After enthralling fans for over a decade, ITV's hit show Grantchester is set to bid farewell.
The period drama phenomenon has charmed fans since its 2014 debut, but this week brought the bittersweet news that the detective series will draw to a poignant close after its iconic 11 years on screens.
Robson Green, known for his role as Geordie Keating, took to social media with a touching tribute in light of the revelation.

He penned: "You know what they say.... all good things must come to an end. Being part of the final series of Grantchester has been one of the greatest honours and privileges of my life.
"From the very beginning, I have had the incredible fortune to be part of this extraordinary team - a group of talented, passionate, and dedicated individuals who have become more than colleagues; they have become family.
"As we step into the 11th and final series, my heart is heavy with emotion but also filled with immense gratitude. It's a bittersweet moment, knowing that we are bringing this beautiful journey to a close."

The beloved actor, aged 60, expressed a mix of sorrow over the closure yet joy for the treasured moments he's collected through the series, reports Cambridgeshire Live.
Robson lavished praise on his Grantchester co-stars, reflecting on how the team evolved into much more than just a cast and crew but an entire community brimming with support and commitment.
He wrapped up by saying: "I won't say goodbye because, for me, it will remain a beautiful lifelong connection. I have made friendships forged through shared laughter, challenges, and triumphs.
"The bonds we've formed extend far beyond the camera lens, and I am confident that they will endure long after the final scene within the Grantchester world has been filmed."
Robson ended his post by thanking the fans who have been with them throughout the series. He expressed his gratitude for everything Grantchester has given him.
It wasn't long before people commented on the actor's post, with many upset about the beloved series coming to an end.
One person said: "Devastated to see my favorite show come to an end, but I'll forever cherish the beautiful work you've all done. I hope you'll get to team up with all three vicars in the final episode!"
