*Warning: This article contains spoilers for Wednesday Season 1*
Wednesday quickly became a worldwide sensation and now, despite a long wait, Season 2 will soon return to screens. Offering a fresh perspective on the Addams Family, the series is seen through the eyes of Wednesday Addams (portrayed by Jenna Ortega).
The inaugural season revolved entirely around Wednesday being sent to Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for misfits and outcasts, following her retaliation against her brother Pugsley's tormentors. Initially resistant, Wednesday soon found herself playing a pivotal role at the school, having rescued Nevermore Academy from a significant threat, reports the Mirror US.
As we eagerly await the next instalment, here's a recap of key events to remember.

The big mysteryRight from the start, Wednesday was embroiled in a massive mystery as a monstrous beast seemed to be preying on outcasts. In one of the early episodes, student Rowan tries to murder Wednesday only to be ripped apart by a creature.
Despite what Wednesday witnessed, he shows up at school the next day before departing. It later transpires that Rowan's reappearance was actually due to shapeshifter, Principal Larissa Weems.
Another intriguing mystery was the history of Jericho and its connection to Wednesday Addams. Wednesday quizzes her parents about an old murder case in which her father, Gomez, was accused of killing another student, Garrett Gates - who it later was revealed to be Laurel's brother (AKA Miss Thornhill).
Garrett was accidentally killed by Wednesday's mother, Morticia, after he attempted a mass murder of outcasts at the school. We soon learn about Garrett's family and their connections to Joseph Crackstone - and there was one monster hiding in plain sight.
Joseph Crackstone and the Master PlanJoseph Crackstone was a radical pilgrim who was obsessed with eradicating all outcasts. Miss Thornhill, aka Laurel Gates, managed to stay under the radar as Miss Thornhill to avenge her brother's death.
Concealing herself behind the school's normie teacher act, Laurel quickly identified Tyler as the Hyde and began to control him, all part of her master plan - which was to resurrect Joseph Crackstone. She needed enough body parts to resurrect Crackstone, and using Wednesday's blood, she succeeds.
Season 1 saw Wednesday grappling with her psychic abilities. Guided by her ancestor Goody Addams, Wednesday's visions become stronger throughout.
The main character possesses the ability to experience visions through physical contact, though she initially lacked control over this gift. Following her ultimate vision, Goody devised a strategy that involves bringing Wednesday back from a fatal injury.
Wednesday and EnidWednesday and Enid form an unexpected partnership. Wednesday favours isolation and gloom, but finds herself sharing accommodation with Enid Sinclair, her polar opposite.
Enid is depicted battling to "wolf out" during the series, and as her abilities finally develop, her bond with Wednesday deepens as well. She rapidly transforms into a devoted companion and ultimately saves Wednesday's life.
Wednesday eventually discovered the Hyde was actually supposed normie and romantic interest, Tyler. This shocking truth emerged during their initial kiss when Wednesday experienced a vision.
Tyler's Hyde lineage stems from his deceased mother Francoise, who also studied at Nevermore and was a Hyde, though no-one knew as Hyde's are banned from attending Nevermore.
What happens to Principal Weems?A Murder of Woes is the final episode in the season and arguably the most intense. After apprehending Tyler and plotting to torture him, Wednesday was eventually reported to Principal Weems, detained and subsequently kicked out of Nevermore.
Tyler confessed to being the Hyde, taunting her with the question "What does it feel like to lose?" The drama didn't end there, as despite their tense relationship, Wednesday joined forces with Principal Weems for one final scheme.

Weems, a shapeshifter, impersonates Tyler and confronts Miss Thornhill, who finally admits to being Laurel Gates and using Tyler to kill outcasts. Principal Weems was subsequently murdered.
Who is the stalker in Wednesday?Wednesday concluded on a suspenseful note, much to the fans' excitement. Equipped with her first mobile phone, she began receiving a string of text messages from an unidentified number.
One message ominously stated: "I'm watching you", accompanied by threatening gifs and photos of Wednesday with her romantic interests. The stalker's identity remains a mystery, but fans are eagerly sharing their theories ahead of Season 2.
