2. Hooghly River, Kolkata, West BengalChhath is celebrated with zeal in Kolkata, especially at Babu Ghat on the Hooghly River. Large numbers also gather near Rabindra Sarovar Lake. Devotional Chhath folk songs fill the air, creating a spiritual and festive atmosphere.
3. Subarnarekha River, Jamshedpur, JharkhandIn Jharkhand, devotees flock to the ghats on the Subarnarekha River in Jamshedpur. The sight of lamps floating on the water, combined with devotional songs amidst nature, makes the festival enchanting.
4. Juhu Chowpatty, Mumbai, MaharashtraMaharashtra’s Juhu Chowpatty is a major center for Chhath celebrations. Thousands gather here to offer prayers to the Sun. 5. Ghats of Varanasi and Prayagraj, Uttar PradeshVaranasi and Prayagraj host some of the most captivating Chhath celebrations. Ghats along the Ganga River such as Adalat Ghat, Assi Ghat, Dashashwamedh Ghat, and Kedar Ghat in Varanasi see thousands of devotees offering prayers.
