Raanjhanaa: South superstar Dhanush said that the re-release of Raanjhanaa, with the climax changed with the help of AI, has saddened me deeply. This new ending has destroyed the original spirit of the film
Raanjhanaa: The 2013 film Raanjhanaa has been re-released. The ending of this film will be changed with the help of AI and made better. Those who have seen Raanjhanaa know that the character of Kundan (Dhanush) dies at the end of the film . In such a situation, it becomes a sad ending. The production company Eros International said that this time the climax of the film has been changed with the help of artificial intelligence. The purpose of this change is to show a "happy ending" of the story to the fans. Dhanush himself has expressed displeasure over the change in this film.
Dhanush is upset with the changes in the film
South superstar Dhanush said that the re-release of Raanjhanaa with a climax changed with the help of AI has deeply saddened me. This new ending has destroyed the original spirit of the film, and despite my clear objection, the people associated with it continued with it. This is no longer the film for which I had put my heart and effort 12 years ago. Using AI to change any film or its story can set a dangerous precedent not only for art but also for artists. It can harm the truth and legacy of cinema. I hope that strict rules will be made to prevent such things in the future.

Even the director of the film is not happy
However, director Anand L Rai of the film Raanjhanaa has completely distanced himself from this re-release. Talking to The Indian Express, he said, "I have to take a very careful decision before signing any such move." He further said, " AI is the technology of the future, everyone knows this. But use it for the present or the future, not to change the past." On the other hand, Eros International says that it has all the rights to the film and also has the right to make changes in it. The company also said that the use of AI is just a way to connect with new technology.
Directed by Anand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma, Raanjhanaa is considered one of the most influential Hindi films of the 2010s. Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor, and Abhay Deol played important roles in this film. The story of the film is based on a Hindu boy named Kundan (Dhanush), who is in one-sided and deep love with a Muslim girl named Zoya (Sonam Kapoor). The film depicted sensitive issues like love and politics in an emotional manner, which was highly appreciated by the audience and critics. It also won many awards
