After months of suggesting that Ukraine would have to cede territory to Russia if any ceasefire agreement between the two countries was to go forward, President Donald Trump has seemingly reversed his position on the matter, saying that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, could "WIN all of Ukraine back."
"After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started are very much an option. Why not?" Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday afternoon shortly after delivering remarks to the U.N. General Assembly in New York City.
Trump offered this position after meeting on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This new position is in drastic contrast to the one the adminstration held just last month, when Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, where prior to that meeting Trump suggested Ukraine would have to give up terriotoy occupied by Russian forces in Eastern Ukraine.

Trump stopped short of offering any further direct military support to Ukraine, seemingly putting the onus of support on the European Union and NATO.
"Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act. In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!" Trump wrote.
Trump took several shots at Russia in his post, saying the country is a "paper tiger" and said it would've taken a "Real Military Power" less than a week to win the war. He also pointed out the ongoing sanctions placed on Russia, and when the citizens of Russia find out what "is really going on in the war," Ukraine will be able to take back its captured territory.
"When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it's almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that!" Trump wrote.

The strengthened support from Trump, if it sticks, is a huge win for Zelensky, who has urged the American president to keep up the pressure on Putin to end his brutal war on Ukraine.
