Cooking beef at home can leave it tasting dry if you don't follow this easy tip.
If you're making a roast, beef is one of the crucial components of the meal, so getting it wrong can ruin your whole dish.
Creating the perfect beef is all in the cooking and it's easier than you think to make your beef soft, tender and delicious.
Delish, a home recipe site, has shared the secret to making sure your beef is as tasty as it can be.
Delish says: "My secret to tender roast beef with a crisp, beautifully browned crust. Start it in a hot oven (no messy searing in a hot skillet!), then lower the temperature and roast it low and slow.
"This technique offers the best of both worlds: The high heat gives the crust a head start, while the low heat cooks the roast gently, allowing it to become tender without drying out."
But this isn't its only suggestion. It also recommends adding different seasonings to your beef which will enhance its flavour.
For example, you could add garlic and Mediterranean herbs which are perfect when roasted in the oven.
Or, for a more traditional flavour, you can add the classic combination of rosemary and thyme.
If you prefer, you could add sage, parsley or oregano depending on which flavours you want to bring out in your beef.
You also can't forget about salt and pepper - as simple as they are, they can't be left behind.
Large cuts of beef need a generous amount of salt and as for pepper, the sharp kick will bring out the natural flavours of the meat.
No matter who you're cooking for, whether it be friends, family or just yourself, a roast with beef is a winning dish every time.
Next time you're cooking at home, don't forget to try this simple method to ensure your beef will taste its best.
