
A plane has crashed at Southend Airport in Essex. Witnesses have described seeing a "huge fireball" and black smoke from the incident at the airport at around 4pm this afternoon. It's not clear how many people were in the plane.
According to reports, the aircraft crashed while taking-off and it is believed the small jet was travelling to the Netherlands.
Essex Police has urged members of the public to keep away from the site, confirming it was alerted just before 4pm on Sunday.
London Southend Airport has been approached for comment.
