A GB News star has implied that King Charles was encouraged to revoke his brother's remaining titles. Buckingham Palace confirmed on Thursday evening that Prince Andrew will be officially stripped of his royal style, titles, and honours. It comes after Andrew announced he would no longer use his Duke of York title in a public capacity. But King Charles went one step further, stripping him of all his remaining titles.
However, several people believe the monarch received a nudge when it came to making the decision, with Editor at Large for the Mail on Sunday Charlotte Griffiths speculating that Prince William played a key role. Speaking to presenter Alex Armstrong, Griffiths said: "I do think this has got Prince William written all over it. The race was on to get Andrew out before William moves into Windsor great park with Catherine.
"Their new house, Forest Lodge, is very close to Royal Lodge. Apparently they wanted to move their kids in before November 5th, before the half term holidays and get the kids settled. They absolutely did not want Andrew to be in place by the time they all moved in."
She continued: "The timing of this adds up that that's exactly what's happened, that William has let this rumble on but finally he's taken matters into his own hands and said, 'This has got to stop.' The letter that you just read out is absolutely savage. There's not one single kind word in there. It's just brutal.
"To me, that seems like Prince William is taking the reins behind the scenes."
Griffiths claimed Charles is a "soft touch" when it comes to Andrew, which she said is "understandable" because they are brothers. She also said that Andrew is "obviously not a good man in many ways", but acknowledged this must be hard for King Charles to see because of their relationship.

She added: "Prince William, on the other hand, can be much more savage, much more brutal and really draw a line under these wider circle royals. I think he's going to cut a lot of them off in the end. It's just going to be the core family from now on."
Griffiths believes William's brother, Prince Harry, will be "first to go" when he eventually becomes king.
She went on: "Should William be King in the near of distant future, I think one of the first things he will do is cut the rot and that means Prince Harry will be first to go."
Announcing that Andrew had been stripped of his title, a statement issued by Buckingham Palace said: "These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him. Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
