Caitlin Clark is currently spending her WNBA offseason while recovering from an injury-marred second WNBA season. The Indiana Fever star was recently seen enjoying a basketball game at Butler University. Clark attended the Butler Bulldogs ’ matchup against the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles on Wednesday night.
The Indiana Fever’s newest addition joined her, the player development coach, Rob Dosier . A post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Butler Basketball Guru showed the WNBA sensation, Caitlin Clark, sitting in the stands at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Butler fans cheered loudly as the Bulldogs won the game. Clark’s visit wasn’t surprising since her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, works as an assistant coach for Butler.
Caitlin Clark enjoys bonding time with new coach Rob Dosier amid WNBA offseason
At the game, Caitlin Clark sat next to Rob Dosier, who was recently hired by the Indiana Fever as their new player development coach. Dosier will be working alongside fellow player development coach Keith Dosier. The Fever announced his hiring earlier this week. The player development coach is expected to help the team’s players improve and avoid injuries.
Before joining the Fever, Dosier worked with the NBA’s Washington Wizards and their G League team, the Capital City Go-Go. He was also part of the Indiana Mad Ants’ coaching staff. Dosier began his career as a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois University. Known for his defensive coaching, he has trained NBA stars like Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, and Bradley Beal under top trainer Drew Hanlen.
Notably, Clark’s second WNBA season was tough. She struggled with multiple muscle injuries and managed to play only 13 out of 44 games. Just as she was ready to return late in the season, she sprained her ankle during recovery from her second groin strain.
Off the court, Clark remains active. She will again take part in the ANNIKA pro-am golf tournament from November 13-16, 2025, in Belleair, Florida. This time, her Fever teammates Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham will serve as her caddies. Both players recently shared their excitement about the event on social media.
It’s shaping up to be an interesting offseason for the Indiana Fever, with Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham entering free agency. On the other hand, a possible league lockout is also in the works as the WNBA and the union discuss a new CBA.
